تصدرت المدينة المنورة مدن المملكة في معدلات إشغال مرافق الضيافة السياحية بنسبة 74.7% خلال النصف الأول من العام الحالي 2025، وفق تقرير وزارة السياحة لأداء قطاع الضيافة في المملكة.
وأشار التقرير إلى أن إجمالي مرافق الضيافة المرخصة في المدينة بلغ 538 مرفقاً، منها 69 مرفقاً جديداً جرى ترخيصه أخيراً، بينما وصل إجمالي عدد الغرف الفندقية إلى 64,569 ألف غرفة، من بينها 6,628 غرفة حديثة أضيفت خلال الفترة ذاتها.
ويمثل هذا النمو مكانة المدينة المنورة وجهة رئيسية للضيافة والسياحة الدينية، في ظل ما تشهده من مشاريع تطويرية كبرى تسهم في تعزيز الطاقة الاستيعابية، وتحسين جودة الخدمات، ورفع مستوى التجربة السياحية للزوار، بما يتماشى مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030، بحسب ما نقلته وكالة الأنباء السعودية «واس».

وتأتي هذه المؤشرات في وقت تحتضن المدينة المنورة مشروع رؤى المدينة، أكبر مشروع ضيافة في العالم؛ ما يعزز مكانتها العالمية وجهة استثنائية تستقبل ملايين الزوار سنوياً، وتوفر لهم بيئة ضيافة متكاملة.
ويعكس هذا النمو استمرار الجهود التكاملية بين الجهات ذات العلاقة بالمنطقة في سبيل تعزيز جاهزية المدينة المنورة لاستقطاب المزيد من الاستثمارات السياحية، وتوفير فرص عمل نوعية، والارتقاء بجودة الحياة للسكان والزوار.
The city of Medina topped the cities of the Kingdom in hospitality facility occupancy rates at 74.7% during the first half of the current year 2025, according to a report by the Ministry of Tourism on the performance of the hospitality sector in the Kingdom.
The report indicated that the total number of licensed hospitality facilities in the city reached 538, including 69 new facilities that were recently licensed, while the total number of hotel rooms reached 64,569, of which 6,628 new rooms were added during the same period.
This growth reflects Medina's status as a primary destination for hospitality and religious tourism, amid major development projects that contribute to enhancing capacity, improving service quality, and elevating the tourist experience for visitors, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, according to the Saudi Press Agency "SPA".
Exceptional Destination
These indicators come at a time when Medina is hosting the Vision of the City project, the largest hospitality project in the world; which enhances its global status as an exceptional destination that receives millions of visitors annually and provides them with a comprehensive hospitality environment.
This growth reflects the ongoing collaborative efforts among the relevant entities in the region to enhance Medina's readiness to attract more tourism investments, provide quality job opportunities, and improve the quality of life for residents and visitors.
