نفذت وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية -ممثلة في وكالة الإشراف على العمليات التعدينية- 237 جولة رقابية على عددٍ من المواقع التعدينية في مختلف مناطق المملكة خلال شهر يوليو الماضي.
وخلال هذه الجولات، أكدت الوزارة التزام المواقع التعدينية بنظام الاستثمار التعديني، وتعمل على توجيه الإنذارات عند رصد أي مخالفات، وذلك تطبيقاً لمبدأ الإنذار قبل إقرار العقوبة.
وأوضح المتحدث باسم وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية جراح بن محمد الجراح أنَّ الجولات الرقابية المُنفَّذة خلال شهر يوليو الماضي شملت 60 جولة في منطقة الرياض، و40 جولة في منطقة المدينة المنورة، و37 جولة في المنطقة الشرقية، و26 جولة في المواقع التعدينية في منطقة مكة المكرمة، و18 جولة في منطقة عسير، و15 جولة في منطقة نجران، و11 جولة في منطقة حائل، و9 جولات في منطقة جازان، و8 جولات في منطقة القصيم، و7 جولات في منطقة الجوف، و3 جولات في منطقة الباحة، وجولتين في منطقة الحدود الشمالية، إضافة إلى جولة واحدة في منطقة تبوك.
وأكَّد الجراح عزم الوزارة على مواصلة تنفيذ جولاتها الرقابية ومتابعة الأنشطة التعدينية، وضمان حماية القطاع من الممارسات غير النظامية، والمحافظة على الثروات المعدنية لتحقيق الاستغلال الأمثل لها، إضافة إلى حماية المجتمعات المجاورة لمناطق التعدين وفقاً للوائح نظام الاستثمار التعديني.
وتهدف الوزارة إلى تعزيز القيمة المحققة من الموارد المعدنية في المملكة، وزيادة جاذبية قطاع التعدين ليكون الركيزة الثالثة للصناعة الوطنية وفق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030، إضافة إلى إسهام القطاع في تنويع مصادر الدخل الوطني، وتنمية الإيرادات غير النفطية، إذ تقدر قيمة الثروات المعدنية في المملكة بنحو 9.3 تريليون ريال، تنتشر في أكثر من 5300 موقع.

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources - represented by the Mining Operations Supervision Agency - conducted 237 monitoring rounds at various mining sites across the Kingdom during the past month of July.
During these rounds, the ministry confirmed the commitment of mining sites to the mining investment system and works to issue warnings when any violations are detected, in accordance with the principle of warning before imposing penalties.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Jirrah bin Mohammed Al-Jirrah, stated that the monitoring rounds conducted in July included 60 rounds in the Riyadh region, 40 rounds in the Medina region, 37 rounds in the Eastern region, 26 rounds in the mining sites in the Makkah region, 18 rounds in the Asir region, 15 rounds in the Najran region, 11 rounds in the Hail region, 9 rounds in the Jazan region, 8 rounds in the Qassim region, 7 rounds in the Al-Jouf region, 3 rounds in the Al-Baha region, and 2 rounds in the Northern Borders region, in addition to one round in the Tabuk region.
Al-Jirrah emphasized the ministry's determination to continue its monitoring rounds and follow up on mining activities, ensuring the protection of the sector from irregular practices, and preserving mineral resources for optimal exploitation, in addition to protecting communities adjacent to mining areas in accordance with the regulations of the mining investment system.
The ministry aims to enhance the value derived from mineral resources in the Kingdom and increase the attractiveness of the mining sector to be the third pillar of the national industry in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, in addition to contributing to diversifying national income sources and developing non-oil revenues, as the value of mineral resources in the Kingdom is estimated at about 9.3 trillion riyals, spread across more than 5,300 sites.
