أكَّد أمير منطقة القصيم رئيس اللجنة العليا لكرنفال بريدة للتمور الأمير الدكتور فيصل بن مشعل بن سعود بن عبدالعزيز، أن إطلاق طريق التمور الدولي من قلب الكرنفال، يعد خطوة إستراتيجية ترسّخ مكانة التمور في المملكة على الساحة العالمية، وتجسّد حرص القيادة الرشيدة على دعم القطاع الزراعي، وتعزيز الصادرات الوطنية.
وبيَّن في تصريح له بمناسبة توقيع الأمانة العامة لكرنفال بريدة للتمور اتفاقية تعاون مع مركز التكامل الثقافي لدول منظمة شنغهاي للتعاون؛ بهدف تنفيذ مشاريع مشتركة، يأتي في مقدمتها طريق التمور الدولي، أن المشروع يعـد خطوة نوعية تفتح آفاقاً جديدة لتسويق التمور في المملكة، وتعزيز حضورها في الأسواق العالمية.
وأشار إلى أن منطقة القصيم، بما تمتلكه بأكثر من 11 مليون نخلة وتنوّع في الإنتاج يتجاوز 100 صنفٍ من التمور، مؤهلة لقيادة هذا الحراك الاقتصادي والثقافي في بيئة جاذبة تصنع جيلاً ريادياً من الشباب، تحقيقاً لمستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
يذكر أن طريق التمور الدولي يعـد الأول من نوعه على مستوى العالم، الذي يجمع بين النشاط الاقتصادي والثقافي والسياحي، ويربط إنتاج المملكة من التمور بطريق الحرير، بما يعزّز حركة التجارة الدولية، ويفتح آفاقاً أوسع لتسويق التمور في المملكة في الأسواق العالمية.
ويهدف المشروع إلى العمل عبر مسارين متكاملين: الأول «المسار الميداني»، ويعنى بتنظيم معارض ومزادات وفعاليات في وجهات محلية ودولية، وإقامة أنشطة رياضية وثقافية مرتبطة بالتمور، والثاني «المسار الرقمي»، وذلك عبر منصة إلكترونية تجمع المنتجين والمستثمرين والمشترين حول العالم، وتوفر قاعدة بيانات ومحتوى تعريفياً بالتمور وثقافتها.

The Emir of Al-Qassim region, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Buraidah Date Festival, Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, confirmed that the launch of the International Date Road from the heart of the festival is a strategic step that solidifies the position of dates in the Kingdom on the global stage and embodies the leadership's commitment to supporting the agricultural sector and enhancing national exports.
In a statement on the occasion of the signing of a cooperation agreement between the General Secretariat of the Buraidah Date Festival and the Cultural Integration Center for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization; aimed at implementing joint projects, with the International Date Road being the foremost, he indicated that the project represents a qualitative step that opens new horizons for marketing dates in the Kingdom and enhances their presence in global markets.
He pointed out that the Al-Qassim region, with its more than 11 million palm trees and a variety of production exceeding 100 types of dates, is qualified to lead this economic and cultural movement in an attractive environment that creates a pioneering generation of youth, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.
It is noteworthy that the International Date Road is the first of its kind in the world, combining economic, cultural, and tourism activities, linking the Kingdom's date production to the Silk Road, which enhances international trade and opens wider horizons for marketing dates in the Kingdom in global markets.
The project aims to operate through two integrated tracks: the first, the "Field Track," focuses on organizing exhibitions, auctions, and events in local and international destinations, and hosting sports and cultural activities related to dates; the second, the "Digital Track," through an electronic platform that brings together producers, investors, and buyers from around the world, providing a database and informative content about dates and their culture.
