نفذت وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية -ممثلة في وكالة الإشراف على العمليات التعدينية- خلال شهر يونيو الماضي، 467 جولة رقابية على عددٍ من المواقع التعدينية في مختلف مناطق المملكة.
وأكد المتحدث باسم الوزارة جراح بن محمد الجراح التزام المواقع التعدينية بنظام الاستثمار التعديني، مشيراً إلى أن الوزارة تعمل على توجيه الإنذارات عند رصد أي مخالفات، وذلك تطبيقاً لمبدأ الإنذار قبل إقرار العقوبة.
وأوضح أنَّ الجولات الرقابية المُنفَّذة خلال شهر يونيو الماضي؛ شملت 134 جولة في المنطقة الشرقية، و91 جولة في منطقة الرياض، و61 جولة في المدينة المنورة، و42 جولة في المواقع التعدينية في منطقة الجوف، و31 جولة في كلٍ من منطقة حائل ومنطقة مكة المكرمة، و30 جولة في منطقة نجران، و20 جولة في منطقة جازان، و20 جولة في منطقة عسير، و6 جولات في منطقة تبوك، إضافة إلى جولة واحدة في منطقة القصيم.
ونوه الجراح إلى عزم الوزارة على مواصلة تنفيذ جولاتها الرقابية ومتابعة الأنشطة التعدينية، وضمان حماية القطاع من الممارسات غير النظامية، والمحافظة على الثروات المعدنية لتحقيق الاستغلال الأمثل لها، إضافة إلى حماية المجتمعات المجاورة لمناطق التعدين وفقاً للوائح نظام الاستثمار التعديني.
يذكر أن الوزارة تهدف إلى تعزيز القيمة المحققة من الموارد المعدنية في المملكة، وزيادة جاذبية قطاع التعدين ليكون الركيزة الثالثة للصناعة الوطنية وفق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030، إضافة إلى إسهام القطاع في تنويع مصادر الدخل الوطني وتنمية الإيرادات غير النفطية، إذ تقدر قيمة الثروات المعدنية في المملكة بنحو 9.3 تريليون ريال، تنتشر في أكثر من 5.300 موقع.

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources - represented by the Agency for Supervision of Mining Operations - conducted 467 inspection tours of various mining sites across the Kingdom during the month of June.
The ministry's spokesperson, Jaraah bin Mohammed Al-Jaraah, confirmed the commitment of mining sites to the mining investment system, pointing out that the ministry works to issue warnings when any violations are detected, in accordance with the principle of warning before imposing penalties.
He explained that the inspection tours conducted during the month of June included 134 tours in the Eastern Province, 91 tours in the Riyadh Region, 61 tours in Medina, 42 tours in mining sites in the Al-Jawf Region, 31 tours in both the Hail Region and the Makkah Region, 30 tours in the Najran Region, 20 tours in the Jazan Region, 20 tours in the Asir Region, 6 tours in the Tabuk Region, in addition to one tour in the Qassim Region.
Al-Jaraah noted the ministry's determination to continue its inspection tours and monitor mining activities, ensuring the protection of the sector from irregular practices, and preserving mineral resources for optimal exploitation, in addition to protecting communities adjacent to mining areas in accordance with the regulations of the mining investment system.
It is worth mentioning that the ministry aims to enhance the value derived from mineral resources in the Kingdom and increase the attractiveness of the mining sector to be the third pillar of the national industry in line with the objectives of Vision 2030, in addition to contributing to diversifying national income sources and developing non-oil revenues, as the value of mineral resources in the Kingdom is estimated at about 9.3 trillion riyals, spread across more than 5,300 sites.
