تستعد منطقة القصيم لإطلاق كرنفال التمور ببريدة مطلع شهر أغسطس القادم، في حدث سنوي يُعدّ من أبرز الفعاليات الزراعية والاقتصادية والسياحية في المنطقة، الذي يستمر 60 يوماً بمدينة التمور ببريدة.
ويُقام الكرنفال بتنظيم من المركز الوطني للنخيل والتمور، ووزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة، وبإشراف إمارة منطقة القصيم.
ويُعزز مكانة المنطقة في القطاع الزراعي وتسويق التمور، في ظل مرافق المدينة المهيّأة من مواقع زراعية وتراثية وسياحية وترفيهية، لتقديم تجربة متكاملة للزوّار من داخل المملكة وخارجها، وذلك دعماً لمستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030، بتنمية القطاع الزراعي وتعزيز الأمن الغذائي وزيادة المحتوى المحلي.
ويعد «كرنفال» بريدة للتمور أحد أكبر المنافذ التسويقية بالمنطقة، حيث يوجد فيه يومياً أكثر من ألف سيارة محملة بأطنان التمور، يستقبلها المستهلكون والمستثمرون فيتم توجيه الكثير منها إلى ساحة التصدير التي تحتل مساحة 15 ألف متر مربع، ومنها تتم تعبئته وتصديره إلى مدن المملكة ولأكثر من 100 دولة حول العالم كأمريكا وأوروبا وشرق آسيا، إضافة للدول العربية والخليجية.
وتمثل ساحة التصدير بمدينة التمور ببريدة محوراً رئيسياً لتوزيع التمور داخل المملكة وخارجها، حيث تنطلق منها أكثر من 500 شاحنة متوسطة وكبيرة يومياً محمّلة بأكثر من 50 صنفاً من التمور التي تشتهر بها مدينة بريدة، إذ يتم توزيعها على مناطق المملكة وعلى المصانع التحويلية المتخصصة بفرز وتعبئة وتصنيع وتحويل التمور إلى منتج غذائي متكامل، كما تحول أجزاء أخرى لمصانع الفرز والتغليف لإعطائها المواصفات والمقاييس المطلوبة وضبط الجودة للتصدير الخارجي.

The Qassim region is preparing to launch the Date Carnival in Buraidah at the beginning of August, in an annual event considered one of the most prominent agricultural, economic, and tourism activities in the region, lasting for 60 days in the date city of Buraidah.
The carnival is organized by the National Center for Palms and Dates, the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, and under the supervision of the Emirate of Qassim Region.
This event enhances the region's position in the agricultural sector and the marketing of dates, supported by the city's facilities, which include agricultural, heritage, tourism, and entertainment sites, to provide a comprehensive experience for visitors from within the Kingdom and abroad, in support of the objectives of Vision 2030, aimed at developing the agricultural sector, enhancing food security, and increasing local content.
The Buraidah Date Carnival is one of the largest marketing outlets in the region, where more than a thousand trucks loaded with tons of dates arrive daily, welcomed by consumers and investors. Many of these are directed to the export area, which occupies an area of 15,000 square meters, from which they are packaged and exported to cities across the Kingdom and to more than 100 countries worldwide, including America, Europe, and East Asia, in addition to Arab and Gulf countries.
The export area in the date city of Buraidah serves as a main hub for distributing dates both within the Kingdom and abroad, with more than 500 medium and large trucks departing daily loaded with over 50 varieties of dates that are famous in Buraidah. These are distributed to various regions of the Kingdom and to processing factories specialized in sorting, packaging, and manufacturing dates into a complete food product, while other parts are sent to sorting and packaging factories to meet the required specifications and standards, ensuring quality for external export.
