كشفت وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية أن عدد المصانع تحت الإنشاء في المملكة العربية السعودية بلغ بنهاية الربع الرابع 2024 نحو 2598 مصنعاً، بحجم استثمارات تجاوز 166 مليار ريال.
وتوزعت المصانع تحت الإنشاء ما بين استثمارات وطنية وأجنبية ومشتركة، تصدرتها المصانع المشتركة بنحو 91 % من الإجمالي بحجم رؤوس أموال يبلغ نحو 162.3 مليار ريال
واستحوذت المصانع الصغيرة على النسبة الأكبر من إجمالي المصانع تحت الإنشاء بنحو 79%، إضافة إلى استحواذها على أكبر قيمة من حيث حجم الاستثمارات بنحو 118 مليار ريال.
وتوزعت تلك المصانع على 23 نشاطاً، تصدرها نشاط الصناعات التحويلية الأخرى من حيث رأس المال بنحو 56.3 مليار ريال، تلاه نشاط صنع الفلزات القاعدية بأكثر من 30 مليار ريال.
واستحوذت ثلاث مناطق على نحو 70% من إجمالي حجم الاستثمار في المصانع تحت الإنشاء على مستوى المملكة، حيث تصدرت منطقة مكة المكرمة بنحو 43.5 مليار ريال وبنسبة أكثر من 26%، تلتها المنطقة الشرقية، بنحو 41 مليار ريال وبنسبة أكثر من 24%، ثم منطقة الرياض ثالثا بقيمة بلغت نحو 34 مليار ريال، وما نسبته نحو 20%.

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources revealed that the number of factories under construction in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reached approximately 2,598 by the end of the fourth quarter of 2024, with investments exceeding 166 billion riyals.
The factories under construction are distributed between national, foreign, and joint investments, with joint factories leading at about 91% of the total, with a capital amounting to approximately 162.3 billion riyals
Small factories accounted for the largest share of the total factories under construction at about 79%, in addition to holding the largest value in terms of investment volume at approximately 118 billion riyals.
These factories are distributed across 23 activities, with the "other manufacturing industries" activity leading in terms of capital at about 56.3 billion riyals, followed by the basic metals manufacturing activity with more than 30 billion riyals.
Three regions accounted for about 70% of the total investment volume in factories under construction across the Kingdom, with the Makkah region leading at approximately 43.5 billion riyals and more than 26%, followed by the Eastern Province at about 41 billion riyals and more than 24%, and then the Riyadh region in third place with a value of about 34 billion riyals, accounting for approximately 20%.
