«التجارة» ترتبط إلكترونياً بأكبر 50 شركة غذائية لمراقبة الأسعار

The "Okaz" newspaper learned that the Ministry of Commerce has completed the technical linkage mechanisms with 50 food companies, which are among the most important and largest companies in the sector, aiming to verify the availability of essential food items and ensure their continuous presence in the markets. Additionally, it has linked with 26 companies specialized in construction materials, including producers of iron and cement, with the aim of verifying production quantities and ensuring that the increasing demands in the construction sector are met.

The ministry indicated that these efforts come in continuous coordination with the relevant authorities regarding producer prices, which contributes to monitoring prices and ensuring their stability. The linkage is part of an ongoing project by the ministry aimed at automating operations since the launch of the electronic "Compliance" system for inspection and control.

The technical linkage project with commercial establishments in the food and construction materials sectors includes monitoring prices and the availability of goods. Through these measures, the ministry aims to enhance the business environment in the Kingdom, support economic stability, and achieve transparency in commercial markets. This reflects the ministry's commitment to applying best practices in monitoring and regulation, providing a suitable work environment that supports sustainable economic growth, and meeting the needs of consumers and businesses.

The ministry has completed the development of a comprehensive mechanism to monitor the movement of inspectors' vehicles, which includes 767 official cars belonging to it, aiming to enhance transparency and improve the efficiency of regulatory operations. This mechanism relies on real-time location tracking and comparing data with field visit reports, which contributes to improving the sustainability of fuel expenses and reducing waste. It also evaluates the performance of inspectors in carrying out their duties and visits to establishments in line with their commitment to their tasks.

The ministry has worked on installing electronic chips in official vehicles to monitor fuel consumption daily, which has contributed to enhancing oversight and accuracy in tracking expenses.
