China and the United States have recently confirmed additional details regarding the framework they agreed upon earlier this month following talks held in London, according to a statement from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.

The statement, as reported by "AFP," added that Washington will lift restrictive measures, and Beijing will roll back export control provisions.

The ministry's spokesperson stated in the announcement: "We hope that the United States and China can meet halfway," calling for stable and sustainable development of Chinese-American economic and trade relations.

This comes after U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Thursday evening that Washington and Beijing had signed a trade agreement, without providing any details.
