وكشفت بيانات مكتب الإحصاء الأمريكي أن مبيعات المنازل الجديدة انخفضت 13.7% على أساس شهري لتبلغ وتيرة سنوية 623 ألف وحدة خلال الشهر الماضي، مقارنة بقراءة أبريل المعدلة بالخفض إلى 722 ألف وحدة.
وأوضح التقرير الصادر اليوم (الأربعاء)، أن مبيعات المنازل الجديدة تعتبر منخفضة بنسبة 6.3%، مقارنة بقراءة مايو 2024 البالغة 665 ألف وحدة.
وارتفع متوسط أسعار المنازل الجديدة المبيعة خلال شهر مايو بنسبة 3% على أساس سنوي إلى 426.6 ألف دولار.
وبلغ مخزون المنازل الجديدة غير المبيعة 507 آلاف وحدة في نهاية الشهر الماضي، وهو ما يعادل عرض 9.8 شهر بوتيرة المبيعات الحالية.

New home sales in the United States declined in May, amid an increase in inventory and rising prices, indicating continued weak demand in the American housing sector.
Data from the U.S. Census Bureau revealed that new home sales fell 13.7% month-over-month to an annual rate of 623,000 units last month, compared to a revised reading of 722,000 units in April.
The report released today (Wednesday) stated that new home sales are down 6.3% compared to the May 2024 reading of 665,000 units.
The average price of new homes sold in May rose by 3% year-over-year to $426,600.
The inventory of unsold new homes reached 507,000 units at the end of last month, which is equivalent to a supply of 9.8 months at the current sales pace.
