نقلت صحيفة ليزيكو الفرنسية عن رئيس الوزراء الفرنسي فرانسوا بايرو قوله إن المفاوضات بشأن إلغاء عطلتين وطنيتين يجب أن تنتهي بحلول 30 سبتمبر القادم على أقصى تقدير، في الوقت الذي تسعى فيه الحكومة إلى إيجاد طرق لتقليص العجز المتكرر في موازنة الدولة.
وقدم بايرو، وهو أحد محاربي الديون المتحمسين منذ فترة طويلة ويقود حكومة أقلية تواجه الكثير من التحديات السياسية، الاقتراح الذي تصدر العناوين الرئيسية في يوليو الماضي، عندما حدد سلسلة من تدابير خفض العجز بقيمة 43.8 مليار يورو (51 مليار دولار) العام القادم بهدف خفض ديون فرنسا.
وذكرت الصحيفة أنه وفقاً لوثيقة داخلية، طلب رئيس الوزراء من مسؤولين حكوميين ونقابات وهيئات أخرى إبلاغه بما إذا كانوا يريدون إجراء مفاوضات مفتوحة بحلول الأول من سبتمبر القادم.
وأوضح بايرو ضمن اقتراح الموازنة الأحدث أنه يريد إلغاء عطلة يوم الاثنين التالي ليوم عيد القيامة، وعطلة عيد النصر في أوروبا؛ الأمر الذي أدى إلى احتجاج أحزاب من اليسار واليمين المتطرف.

The French newspaper Les Echos quoted French Prime Minister François Bayrou as saying that negotiations regarding the cancellation of two national holidays must be completed by September 30 at the latest, as the government seeks ways to reduce the recurring deficit in the state budget.
Bayrou, a long-time advocate for debt reduction and leader of a minority government facing many political challenges, presented the proposal that made headlines last July when he outlined a series of measures to reduce the deficit by €43.8 billion ($51 billion) next year with the aim of lowering France's debt.
The newspaper reported that according to an internal document, the Prime Minister asked government officials, unions, and other bodies to inform him if they wanted to engage in open negotiations by September 1.
Bayrou clarified in the latest budget proposal that he wants to cancel the holiday on the Monday following Easter and the Victory in Europe Day holiday; a move that has led to protests from left-wing and far-right parties.
