أفادت تقارير بأن شركة OpenAI، المطورة لتطبيق ChatGPT، حققت نموًا كبيرًا في إيراداتها خلال الأشهر السبعة الأولى من عام 2025، حيث وصلت إيراداتها السنوية إلى 12 مليار دولار، أي ما يعادل ضعف ما حققته في الفترة السابقة، وفقًا لموقع The Information.
ويشير الرقم إلى أن الشركة تحقق إيرادات شهرية تبلغ نحو مليار دولار، مع قاعدة مستخدمين نشطة أسبوعيًا تصل إلى 700 مليون مستخدم لمنتجات ChatGPT، من الأفراد والشركات على حد سواء.
وذكر التقرير أن الشركة، التي تدعمها مايكروسوفت، رفعت توقعاتها لمعدل الإنفاق النقدي في عام 2025 إلى نحو 8 مليارات دولار، بزيادة مليار دولار عن التوقعات السابقة.
وتسعى OpenAI حاليًا لجذب مستثمرين لجولة تمويل ثانية بقيمة 30 مليار دولار، حيث تستثمر شركتا Sequoia Capital وTiger Global Management مئات الملايين في هذه الجولة.
وأضاف التقرير أن مستثمرين، بجانب شركة SoftBank اليابانية، اقتربوا من إتمام التزامات بقيمة 7.5 مليار دولار لهذا الجزء من التمويل، ويبلغ إجمالي استثمارات SoftBank في OpenAI نحو 32 مليار دولار منذ بدء استثمارها في خريف 2024.
Reports indicate that OpenAI, the developer of the ChatGPT application, has achieved significant revenue growth during the first seven months of 2025, with annual revenues reaching $12 billion, which is double what it achieved in the previous period, according to The Information.
The figure suggests that the company is generating monthly revenues of about $1 billion, with a weekly active user base of 700 million users for ChatGPT products, from both individuals and businesses alike.
The report noted that the company, which is backed by Microsoft, has raised its cash spending forecast for 2025 to about $8 billion, an increase of $1 billion from previous estimates.
OpenAI is currently seeking to attract investors for a second funding round worth $30 billion, with Sequoia Capital and Tiger Global Management investing hundreds of millions in this round.
The report added that investors, alongside the Japanese company SoftBank, are close to finalizing commitments of $7.5 billion for this part of the funding, with SoftBank's total investments in OpenAI amounting to about $32 billion since it began investing in the fall of 2024.
