أعلنت إدارة مهرجان كان السينمائي الدولي اختيار فيلم «الزهرة الكهربائية» (La Vénus électrique) للمخرج بيير سلفادوري كفيلم افتتاح الدورة الـ79، المقرر إقامتها بين 12 و23 مايو القادم.

ومن المقرر أن يُعرض الفيلم لأول مرة عالمياً على شاشة مسرح لوميير الكبير، إضافة إلى عرضه في دور السينما الفرنسية، ليتيح للجمهور مشاهدة العمل في اليوم نفسه كفرصة للتمتع.
وفي هذا السياق، عبر سلفادوري عن سعادته بهذا الاختيار، مؤكدًا أن مهرجان كان يمثل بالنسبة له فضاءً يحتفي بالحرية الفنية والجرأة واكتشاف الأصوات السينمائية الجديدة، مشيرًا إلى أن فيلمه يحمل «كل الحب الذي يكنه للسينما».
نجوم وقصة الفيلم
يضم الفيلم نخبة من أبرز نجوم السينما الفرنسية، يتقدمهم بيو مارماي في تعاون جديد مع سلفادوري، إلى جانب أنييس ديموستييه وجيل لولوش، مع مشاركة فيمالا بونس وغوستاف كيرفرن.
تدور أحداث القصة في باريس عام 1928، حول الفنان أنطوان الذي يفقد إلهامه بعد مأساة شخصية، حتى تقوده الصدفة إلى لقاء غير متوقع مع سوزان، امرأة بسيطة تغير مجرى حياته، تتطور بينهما علاقة معقدة تمزج بين الخداع والمشاعر الصادقة، في إطار كوميدي رومانسي غني بالمفارقات الإنسانية
جائزة السعفة الذهبية الفخرية
كما قررت إدارة المهرجان منح جائزة السعفة الذهبية الفخرية للمخرج بيتر جاكسون النيوزيلندي خلال حفل الافتتاح، وللممثلة والمخرجة والمنتجة وكاتبة السيناريو والمغنية باربرا سترايساند في ختام المهرجان.
The management of the Cannes Film Festival has announced the selection of the film "La Vénus électrique" by director Pierre Salvadori as the opening film for the 79th edition, scheduled to take place from May 12 to 23.
Screening Details
The film is set to have its world premiere on the big screen at the Lumière Theater, in addition to being shown in French cinemas, allowing the audience to watch the work on the same day as an opportunity for enjoyment.
In this context, Salvadori expressed his happiness with this selection, affirming that the Cannes Festival represents for him a space that celebrates artistic freedom, boldness, and the discovery of new cinematic voices, noting that his film carries "all the love he has for cinema."
Stars and Story of the Film
The film features a selection of the most prominent stars of French cinema, led by Pio Marmaï in a new collaboration with Salvadori, alongside Anaïs Demoustier and Gilles Lellouche, with participation from Vimala Pons and Gustave Kervern.
The story is set in Paris in 1928, revolving around the artist Antoine, who loses his inspiration after a personal tragedy, until chance leads him to an unexpected encounter with Suzanne, a simple woman who changes the course of his life. A complex relationship develops between them, blending deception and genuine emotions, within a romantic comedy rich in human paradoxes.
Honorary Palme d'Or Award
The festival management also decided to award the honorary Palme d'Or to New Zealand director Peter Jackson during the opening ceremony, and to actress, director, producer, screenwriter, and singer Barbra Streisand at the closing of the festival.
