أرجعت التحريات الأولية التي أجراها ضباط البحث الجنائي بقسم شرطة ثاني المنتزه في الإسكندرية، وفاة الفنانة نيفين مندور إلى إصابتها بحالة اختناق شديدة وحروق في أماكن متفرقة من جسدها، إثر إندلاع الحريق في غرفتها داخل الشقة السكنية بمنطقة العصافرة.
الزوج قفز من النافذة
وأفادت التحريات بأن زوج الفنانة الراحلة كان متواجدًا في الصالة الخارجية للشقة وقت اندلاع الحريق، وتمكن من القفز من النافذة والاستغاثة بالجيران، محاولًا إسعافها، إلا أن محاولاته باءت بالفشل، وفارقت الفنانة الحياة عقب نقلها إلى المستشفى.
كما أوضحت التحريات المبدئية أن المتوفاة كانت تعاني من صعوبة في الحركة، بعد خضوعها أخيراً لعملية جراحية لتغيير مفصل الركبة، ما حال دون قدرتها على إنقاذ نفسها أو مغادرة الشقة في الوقت المناسب.
معاينة ميدانية
و عاينت نيابة المنتزه ثاني بالإسكندرية، اليوم (الأربعاء)، آثار حريق شقة الفنانة نيفين مندور، الكائنة بالطابق الرابع من برج سكني مكوّن من 13 طابقًا بمنطقة العصافرة على كورنيش الإسكندرية، للوقوف على أسباب وملابسات الحريق الذي تسبب في مصرعها.
وقررت النيابة العامة طلب تحريات المباحث، وتقريري الأدلة الجنائية والحماية المدنية، إلى جانب الاستماع لأقوال شهود العيان، لبيان أسباب نشوب الحريق، وما إذا كانت هناك شبهة جنائية من عدمه.
ووجهت بنقل جثمان الفنانة المتوفاة إلى مشرحة كوم الدكة، والتحفظ عليه تحت تصرفها، لحين صدور القرار النهائي، في الوقت الذي انتهى فيه خبراء الأدلة الجنائية من رفع آثار الحريق وإرسالها إلى المعمل الكيميائي المختص.
وتواصل نيابة المنتزه ثان التحقيق في الواقعة، بعدما تبين أن الوفاة حدثت نتيجة الاختناق بالدخان، فيما لم تُظهر مناظرة الجثمان وجود أي إصابات ظاهرية بخلاف آثار الحريق.
أقوال الشهود
كما استمعت النيابة العامة إلى أقوال عدد من الشهود الذين أكدوا أن الفنانة الراحلة أجرت عملية جراحية قبل نحو 10 أيام، وكانت تعاني من صعوبة بالغة في الحركة، مشيرين إلى أن اندلاع الحريق نتيجة اشتعال بعض المواد البلاستيكية داخل الغرفة، ما أدى إلى تصاعد كثيف للدخان، تسبب في محاصرة الفنانة ومنعها من النجاة.
وأضاف شهود العيان بأن زوج الفنانة تمكن من الخروج عبر النافذة وطلب النجدة من الجيران، إلا أن كثافة الدخان وسرعة انتشاره حالت دون إنقاذها، وفشلت محاولات الإسعافات الأولية في إنقاذ حياتها.
The preliminary investigations conducted by the criminal investigation officers at the Second Montazah Police Department in Alexandria attributed the death of artist Nevin Mandour to severe asphyxiation and burns in various parts of her body, following the outbreak of a fire in her room inside the apartment in the Asafra area.
The Husband Jumped from the Window
The investigations revealed that the late artist's husband was present in the external hall of the apartment at the time of the fire outbreak. He managed to jump out of the window and call for help from the neighbors, trying to rescue her, but his attempts were unsuccessful, and the artist passed away after being taken to the hospital.
The preliminary investigations also indicated that the deceased had difficulty moving after recently undergoing surgery to replace her knee joint, which prevented her from saving herself or leaving the apartment in time.
Field Inspection
The Second Montazah Prosecution in Alexandria inspected today (Wednesday) the traces of the fire in artist Nevin Mandour's apartment, located on the fourth floor of a 13-story residential tower in the Asafra area on the Alexandria Corniche, to determine the causes and circumstances of the fire that led to her death.
The public prosecution decided to request the investigation reports, along with the reports from the forensic evidence and civil protection departments, in addition to listening to the testimonies of eyewitnesses, to clarify the reasons for the outbreak of the fire and whether there is any suspicion of criminal activity.
They ordered the transfer of the deceased artist's body to the Kom El-Dikka morgue and to keep it under their control until a final decision is made, while forensic experts completed collecting evidence from the fire and sent it to the relevant chemical laboratory.
The Second Montazah Prosecution continues to investigate the incident, after it was found that the death occurred due to smoke asphyxiation, while the examination of the body did not reveal any visible injuries other than the traces of the fire.
Witness Statements
The public prosecution also listened to the testimonies of several witnesses who confirmed that the late artist underwent surgery about 10 days ago and was experiencing significant difficulty in movement, indicating that the fire broke out due to the ignition of some plastic materials inside the room, which led to a thick smoke buildup that trapped the artist and prevented her from escaping.
Eyewitnesses added that the artist's husband managed to escape through the window and called for help from the neighbors, but the density of the smoke and its rapid spread prevented her rescue, and the first aid attempts failed to save her life.
