تحوّل أحد شوارع مدينة الحسيمة المغربية إلى مسرح لجريمة صادمة حين أقدم رجل على سكب مادة حارقة على الفنان مصطفى سوليت ثم أشعل النار في جسده أمام مقهى مزدحم، في واقعة وثّقتها عدسات المارة وهزّت المجتمع المغربي بأسره.
ثوانٍ غيّرت كل شيء
في الفيديو المتداول، يظهر سوليت — المعروف بابتسامته الدائمة وصوته الشعبي الدافئ — مذعورًا والنار تلتهم جسده، فيما يسمع صراخ الناس وهم يحاولون إخماد النيران وإنقاذه.
تلك ثوانٍ كانت كافية لتحوّل فناناً محبوباً من رمز للفرح إلى ضحية عنف وحشي غير مفهوم.
حالة حرجة
نُقل سوليت، وهو من ذوي الهمم، إلى مستشفى الحسيمة مصابًا بحروق من الدرجة الثالثة، لكن عدم توفر التجهيزات اللازمة حال دون علاجه محليًا، فتم نقله على وجه السرعة إلى مدينة طنجة، حيث يرقد الآن في قسم الإنعاش في غيبوبة تامة تحت إشراف طاقم طبي متخصّص.
وقال أحد أقاربه لوسائل إعلام مغربية إن حالته «حرجة جدًا»، وإن العائلة تناشد السلطات نقله إلى مركز طبي متقدم لإنقاذ حياته.
العدالة تتحرك
أعلنت النيابة العامة في الحسيمة فتح تحقيق موسّع في الجريمة التي وُصفت بأنها «محاولة تصفية علنية لفنان أعزل»، وأكدت توقيف المشتبه فيه ووضعه رهن الحراسة النظرية لاستجوابه حول الدوافع التي لا تزال غامضة حتى الآن.
غضب وتعاطف
انتشرت صور الفنان على المنصات الاجتماعية مرفقة بوسم «أنقذوا مصطفى سوليت»، وسط موجة غضب وتعاطف من فنانين وحقوقيين اعتبروا ما حدث «وصمة عار في وجه الإنسانية».
وطالب ناشطون الحكومة المغربية بتشديد العقوبات ضد مرتكبي جرائم العنف ضد ذوي الهمم، مؤكدين أن هذه الحادثة «ليست جريمة فردية بل صرخة ضد اللامبالاة».
شمعة لا تنطفئ
عرف مصطفى سوليت بصوته الأمازيغي الأصيل، وأغانيه البسيطة التي تحمل نبض الناس، وكان يرى في الفن «لغة كرامة».
واليوم، بينما يصارع الموت على سرير المستشفى، يبقى صوته عالقًا في ذاكرة المغاربة كرمزٍ للإبداع والإنسانية، التي احترقت ولم تُطفأ بعد.
One of the streets in the Moroccan city of Al-Hoceima turned into a scene of a shocking crime when a man poured a flammable substance on the artist Mustafa Souleet and then set his body on fire in front of a crowded café, in an incident captured by the lenses of passersby that shook the entire Moroccan community.
Seconds That Changed Everything
In the circulated video, Souleet — known for his constant smile and warm popular voice — is seen terrified as flames engulf his body, while the screams of people trying to extinguish the fire and save him can be heard.
Those seconds were enough to transform a beloved artist from a symbol of joy into a victim of incomprehensible brutal violence.
Critical Condition
Souleet, who is a person with special needs, was transported to Al-Hoceima Hospital with third-degree burns, but the lack of necessary equipment prevented him from being treated locally, so he was quickly transferred to the city of Tangier, where he is now in the intensive care unit in a complete coma under the supervision of a specialized medical team.
One of his relatives told Moroccan media that his condition is "very critical," and the family is urging the authorities to transfer him to an advanced medical center to save his life.
Justice in Motion
The public prosecutor's office in Al-Hoceima announced the opening of an extensive investigation into the crime, which has been described as "a public assassination attempt on an unarmed artist," and confirmed the arrest of the suspect, who is being held in custody for questioning about the motives that remain unclear so far.
Anger and Sympathy
Images of the artist spread on social media accompanied by the hashtag "Save Mustafa Souleet," amid a wave of anger and sympathy from artists and activists who considered what happened to be "a disgrace to humanity."
Activists called on the Moroccan government to tighten penalties against perpetrators of violence against people with special needs, affirming that this incident "is not an individual crime but a cry against indifference."
An Unquenchable Candle
Mustafa Souleet was known for his authentic Amazigh voice and simple songs that resonate with the pulse of the people, and he viewed art as "a language of dignity."
Today, while he battles death on a hospital bed, his voice remains etched in the memory of Moroccans as a symbol of creativity and humanity, which has burned but has not yet been extinguished.
