استجابة لاستغاثتها الأخيرة، زار وفد من وزارة الثقافة المصرية ونقابة المهن التمثيلية الفنانة القديرة نجوى فؤاد في منزلها مساء السبت، تعبيرا عن الدعم والتقدير لما قدمته من عطاء طويل للفن المصري والعربي.
وضم الوفد هشام عطوة، وكيل وزارة الثقافة ممثلا عن الوزير الدكتور أحمد فؤاد هنو، والفنان أحمد سلامة عضو مجلس النقابة، والفنانة نهال عنبر المسؤولة عن الملف الطبي للنقابة. وأكد الحضور في بيان رسمي حرص الوزارة والنقابة على رعاية كبار الفنانين الذين تركوا بصمة بارزة في تاريخ الفن.
من جانبها، أعربت نجوى فؤاد عن سعادتها البالغة بهذه الزيارة، ووصفتها بأنها «لفتة إنسانية قبل أن تكون رسمية»، مؤكدة أن صوتها وصل بسرعة، وموجهة الشكر لكل من وقف بجانبها في هذه المرحلة الصعبة من حياتها.
وكانت الفنانة نجوى فؤاد قد خرجت أخيرا في تصريحات إعلامية مؤثرة، كشفت خلالها عن معاناتها من أزمة صحية شديدة أجبرتها على التوقف عن المشاركة في الأعمال الفنية، مؤكدة أنها لم تعد قادرة على تحمل تكاليف العلاج. ووجّهت استغاثة إلى وزير الثقافة والمسؤولين لدعمها في هذه المرحلة الحرجة، رافضة في الوقت نفسه فكرة الإقامة بدار المسنين التابعة لنقابة الممثلين.
وطالبت فؤاد في تصريحاتها بضرورة الالتفات إلى أوضاع الفنانين الذين أفنوا حياتهم في خدمة الفن المصري والعربي، لكنهم لم يحصلوا على عائد مادي يضمن لهم حياة كريمة في الكِبر، قائلة: «إحنا الجيل اللي خد ملاليم مش ملايين، وعايزين نعيش عيشة آدمية».
In response to her recent plea, a delegation from the Egyptian Ministry of Culture and the Actors' Syndicate visited the esteemed artist Nagwa Fouad at her home on Saturday evening, expressing support and appreciation for her long contributions to Egyptian and Arab art.
The delegation included Hisham Atwa, Deputy Minister of Culture representing Minister Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, artist Ahmed Salama, a member of the syndicate council, and artist Nahal Anbar, who is responsible for the medical file of the syndicate. The attendees confirmed in an official statement the ministry and syndicate's commitment to caring for senior artists who have left a significant mark in the history of art.
For her part, Nagwa Fouad expressed her immense happiness with this visit, describing it as "a humanitarian gesture before being official," affirming that her voice was heard quickly, and thanking everyone who stood by her during this difficult phase of her life.
The artist Nagwa Fouad had recently made emotional media statements, revealing her suffering from a severe health crisis that forced her to stop participating in artistic works, confirming that she could no longer afford the costs of treatment. She appealed to the Minister of Culture and officials for support during this critical phase, while simultaneously rejecting the idea of residing in a nursing home affiliated with the Actors' Syndicate.
Fouad demanded in her statements the necessity of paying attention to the conditions of artists who dedicated their lives to serving Egyptian and Arab art, yet did not receive financial returns that guarantee them a decent life in old age, saying: "We are the generation that received pennies, not millions, and we want to live a humane life."
