Just a moment ago, the great Lebanese artist Fairouz and her daughter Rima arrived at the Church of the Dormition of the Virgin in Mahditha, Kfifia, Lebanon, to receive condolences for the second day following the death of her son, the Lebanese artist and musician Ziad Rahbani.

The family of Ziad Rahbani is receiving condolences for the second day in the salon of the Church of the Dormition of the Virgin, while Mrs. Fairouz, who rarely appears in front of cameras, was seen wearing dark glasses with signs of deep sorrow clearly visible on her face.

Huda, the sister of artist Fairouz, was the first to arrive on the second day of condolences, while Elissa, former President Michel Aoun, along with a number of public figures and members of the media and press, were also present.

Several stars from the Lebanese artistic community offered their condolences and support to Fairouz yesterday for her late son Ziad Rahbani, who passed away last Saturday morning after a long battle with illness.

Among the prominent stars who made sure to offer their support and condolences to the star Fairouz on the passing of her son were: Assi El Helani, Ragheb Alama, Myriam Fares, the Tunisian Latifa, Majida El Roumi, and many other stars.

A large number of fans gathered in a solemn scene from the early hours of yesterday morning around the Bikhazi Khoury Hospital in the Hamra area of Beirut, to take a final look at Ziad Rahbani's coffin before it was transported to the church, holding up his pictures and banners expressing their love and loyalty, reciting his poetry and the songs of his mother, Mrs. Fairouz.
