علقت المطربة المصرية آمال ماهر على الجدل المثار حول لقب «صوت مصر» الذي تتنافس عليه مع النجمتين شيرين عبد الوهاب وأنغام، مؤكدة أنها لا تحب الحديث عن الألقاب ويكفيها فقط ربط اسمها بموهبتها لدى الجمهور ومحبيها.
وقالت آمال ماهر خلال استضافتها في برنامج «أجمد 7»، عبر إذاعة نجوم FM، إنها لا تهتم بفكرة الألقاب، موضحة أن الجمهور هو صاحب التقييم الأول في تسمية الألقاب.
وتابعت: «مبحبش الكلام ولا اللغط في موضوع الألقاب، لأن أنا ممكن أكون رقم 1 عند حد وممكن أكون ولا حاجة عند حد تاني، فبأي حق أقول أنا رقم واحد؟ وأنا صوت إيه، الناس هي اللي بتقيّم وهي اللي بتدي اللقب للمطرب، وأنا بحب اسمي جداً وبالنسبة ليا كون الناس حباه وعارفاه دي حاجة أتشرف بيها».
وأوضحت آمال ماهر أن فكرة الجمهور يختار لقب للفنان فكرة جيدة وشيء يزيد من قيمته الفنية، قائلة: «كون أن الناس بتلقبك دي حاجه مش وحشه، دي حاجه هُمَّ شايفينك فيها وحاطينك فيها، ودي حاجه بتزودك مش بتنقصك، والناس شايفاني أميرة قلوبهم».
وعلى جانب آخر، تحدثت آمال ماهر عن موقفها من إمكانية زواجها مرة أخرى، قائلة: «وارد تشوفوني بالفستان الأبيض ليه لأ، وأنا معنديش مواصفات. اللي ربنا يجيبه كويس. أنا بس بدعي ربنا يرزقني بإنسان يتقي ربنا فيا».
يذكر أن آمال ماهر طرحت أخيراً ألبومها الجديد الذي يحمل عنوان «حاجه غير»، بعد فترة طويلة من الغياب، عبر قناتها الرسمية على «يوتيوب» والمنصات الموسيقية.

Amal Maher said during her appearance on the program "Ajamd 7," via Nogoum FM radio, that she does not care about the idea of titles, explaining that the audience is the primary evaluator when it comes to naming titles.
She continued: "I don't like the talk or the fuss about titles, because I might be number 1 to some people and I might be nothing to others, so by what right can I say I am number one? And what voice am I? People are the ones who evaluate and give the title to the singer, and I love my name very much, and for me, the fact that people love and know me is something I take pride in."
Amal Maher explained that the idea of the audience choosing a title for the artist is a good one and adds to their artistic value, saying: "The fact that people give you a title is not a bad thing; it’s something they see you in and place you in, and it’s something that increases you, not decreases you, and people see me as the princess of their hearts."
On another note, Amal Maher talked about her stance on the possibility of marrying again, saying: "It’s possible you might see me in a white dress, why not? I don’t have specific criteria. Whoever God brings me is good. I just pray that God blesses me with a person who fears Him in me."
It is worth mentioning that Amal Maher recently released her new album titled "Haga Gheer," after a long absence, through her official YouTube channel and music platforms.
