لقي الممثل الهندي ومنسق مشاهد الأكشن موهانراج، حتفه أثناء تصويره لأحد المشاهد الخطرة في فيلم «Vettuvam» للمخرج با رانجيث.
ووقعت الحادثة في منطقة فيزهونثامافادي التابعة لمركز كيلايور في ناجاباتينام بالهند، أثناء تصوير مشهد انطلاق سيارة دفع رباعي في الصحراء.
وخلال تصوير المشهد انحرفت السيارة التي يقودها موهانراج ما جعله يفقد توازنه وأصيب بجروح عميقة في الصدر، وتم نقله فورًا إلى أحد المستشفيات وأعلنت وفاته عند وصوله.
وأعلنت شرطة كيلايور أن الوفاة قد تكون غير طبيعية، ثم أعادوا تصنيفها بأنها وفاة ناجمة عن الإهمال، وتعريض حياة البشر للخطر. وورد اسم المخرج Pa Ranjith، ومصمم الحركات Vinoth، ومدير الإنتاج Rajkamal، وصاحب السيارة Prabhakaran ضمن المتهمين.
والراحل موهانراج لم يكن يؤدي دورًا تمثيليًّا بالفيلم، بل كان مسؤولًا عن إعداد وتنفيذ اللقطات الخطرة، خصوصًا مشهد انزلاق سيارة فوق منحدر باستخدام سيارة دفع رباعي. ودائمًا ما يشيد زملاؤه بشجاعته وتفانيه في أداء عمله.
The Indian actor and action scene coordinator Mohanraj lost his life while filming a dangerous scene in the movie "Vettuvam," directed by Pa Ranjith.
The incident occurred in the Vizhunthamavadi area of the Kilaur center in Nagapattinam, India, during the filming of a scene involving an off-road vehicle speeding through the desert.
During the shooting of the scene, the vehicle driven by Mohanraj veered off course, causing him to lose his balance and sustain deep chest injuries. He was immediately transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The Kilaur police announced that the death may be unnatural, later reclassifying it as a death resulting from negligence and endangering human life. The names of director Pa Ranjith, stunt coordinator Vinoth, production manager Rajkamal, and the vehicle owner Prabhakaran were mentioned among the accused.
The late Mohanraj was not acting in the film but was responsible for preparing and executing the dangerous shots, particularly a scene involving a vehicle sliding over a slope using an off-road vehicle. His colleagues always praised his bravery and dedication to his work.
