تحدث الفنان المصري إدوارد، عن تفاصيل الوعكة الصحية الصعبة التي تعرض لها خلال الفترة الماضية، مشيرًا إلى أنها وصلت إلى اكتشاف إصابته بسرطان الكلى، والجراحة التي خضع لها لاستئصال الورم.
ودخل إدوارد في حالة بكاء شديد أثناء حديثه عن المرحلة الأصعب والأسوأ في حياته، خلال استضافته في برنامج «صاحبة السعادة»، قائلاً باكيا: «عدّيت بمرحلة من أصعب ما يكون في حياتي بدأت لما المخرج محمد سامي طلب مني أغير شكلي علشان دور في مسلسل رمضاني، وفعلًا خدت القرار، وبدأت أستعمل حقن تخسيس، وقدرت أخس 15 كيلو في 6 شهور».
وأوضح إدوارد أن نصحه عدد كبير من المقربين منه بخضوعه لـحقن التخسيس الأسبوعية والتي تسببت له بألم شديد وصل إلى اكتشاف إصابته بالسرطان، موضحاً: «فجأة قعدت 4 أيام لا بدخل حمام ولا باكل، وسخونة ومش عارف في إيه، رحت لدكتور جهاز هضمي قاللي إنهم شاكين إني عندي سرطان».
وأكد إدوارد أنه استشار عددا من الأطباء في حالته قائلا: «قعدت ألف على دكاترة وأسأل في أمريكا، الدكتور قاللي عندك سرطان في المرحلة الأولى في نص الكلية الشمال، ولازم الكلية كلها تتشال».
وأشار إدوارد إلى أن حالته الصحية تدهورت سريعًا: «فجأة جالي جلطة في القلب، واضطريت أعمل عملية قسطرة وتركيب 3 دعامات، وبعدها بيوم واحد كنت بصور حلقة رأس السنة من البرنامج، وكأني مفيش حاجة رغم إني ماكنتش مستوعب اللي بيحصلي».
وروى إدوارد مواقف أصدقائه من نجوم الفن معه خلال فترة أزمته الصحية، قائلاً: «عملت عملية الاستئصال، ومش هقدر أنسى وقفة مصطفى قمر معايا كان بايت معايا في المستشفى، وزارني أحمد السقا وأحمد رزق وهاني رمزي وباسم سمرة وناس كتير».
وأكمل إدوارد: «محمد سامي قاللي لو عايز طيارة خاصة توديك برا أنا تحت أمرك، ومي عمر خدت تحاليلي لأخوها في أمريكا، وبعد العملية وتحليل العينة طلع ورم خبيث، وأشكر ربنا إني مدخلتش في كيماوي».
The Egyptian artist Edward talked about the details of the difficult health crisis he experienced recently, indicating that it led to the discovery of his kidney cancer and the surgery he underwent to remove the tumor.
Edward broke down in tears while discussing the hardest and worst phase of his life during his appearance on the show "Sahibat Al-Saada," saying while crying: "I went through one of the hardest phases in my life that started when director Mohamed Sami asked me to change my appearance for a role in a Ramadan series, and I really made the decision, started using weight loss injections, and managed to lose 15 kilos in 6 months."
Edward explained that many of his close friends advised him to undergo weekly weight loss injections, which caused him severe pain that led to the discovery of his cancer, clarifying: "Suddenly, I spent 4 days without going to the bathroom or eating, I had a fever and didn't know what was wrong, I went to a gastroenterologist who told me they suspected I had cancer."
Edward confirmed that he consulted several doctors about his condition, saying: "I went around to doctors and inquired in America, the doctor told me I have stage one cancer in the middle of my left kidney, and the whole kidney needs to be removed."
Edward noted that his health deteriorated rapidly: "Suddenly, I had a heart attack, and I had to undergo a catheterization procedure and have 3 stents placed, and the day after that, I was filming a New Year's episode of the show, as if nothing was wrong even though I wasn't fully aware of what was happening to me."
Edward recounted the support of his friends from the art world during his health crisis, saying: "I had the removal surgery, and I can't forget Mustafa Qamar's support; he stayed with me in the hospital, and Ahmed El Sakka, Ahmed Rizk, Hani Ramzy, Basem Samra, and many others visited me."
Edward continued: "Mohamed Sami told me if you want a private jet to take you abroad, I'm at your service, and Mai Omar took my test results to her brother in America, and after the surgery and the sample analysis, it turned out to be a malignant tumor, and I thank God that I didn't have to undergo chemotherapy."
