تخوض الفنانة السعودية عائشة كاي تجربة درامية جديدة عبر مسلسلها الجديد «حمود وأبوه»، تأليف علاء حمزة، وإخراج البحريني حسين الحليبي، ومن المنتظر عرضه خلال الأيام القادمة على إحدى المنصات الرقمية.
وحرصت كاي على الترويج للعمل؛ من خلال نشر صورة لأحد الملصقات الدعائية له، والتي تضمنت معلومات تشير إلى إحدى شخصياته، وذلك عبر خاصية «الاستوري» التابعة لحسابها على «إنستغرام»، وذلك من دون الكشف عن أي تفاصيل أخرى تتعلق بقصته أو ملامح منها.
المسلسل ينتمي إلى نوعية الأعمال الدرامية القصيرة؛ ويتكون من 10 حلقات، ويشارك في بطولته خالد الفراج، سعيد القحطاني، نايف الفواز، ريم صفية، أحمد الكعبي، ظافر الشهري، وآخرون.
وحققت عائشة كاي نجاحاً كبيراً في مسلسل «شارع الأعشى» المعروض رمضان الماضي، وأثنى المشاهدون على واقعية أداء عائشة كاي لشخصية «أم إبراهيم»، وإتقانها للهجة البدوية السعودية، لا سيّما أنها تعيش معظم وقتها في مدينة فانكوفر الكندية.
وكاي ممثلة وكاتبة سعودية كندية، حازت على درجة الماجستير في مجال الكتابة، وشاركت بالعديد من الأدوار الرئيسية والثانوية في مسلسلات وأفلام قصيرة، لكن الدور الأبرز كان في الفيلم الكندي «طريق الياسمين»، الذي عُرض العام 2020، إذ جرى ترشيحها لثلاث جوائز.
ومن الأعمال البارزة التي أبدعت بها فيلم «ذاكرة الشمال»، الذي سلّط الضوء على أزمة حرب الخليج، ليروي ذكريات الحرب وآثارها في الداخل السعودي بوجهات نظر مختلفة.
وحصدت عائشة، العام الماضي 2024، جائزة «أفضل ممثلة» في فئة الأفلام القصيرة من المنظمة الكندية Reelworld Screen Institute، وذلك عن دورها في فيلم Hatch.
Saudi artist Aisha Kai is embarking on a new dramatic experience through her new series "Hamoud and His Father," written by Alaa Hamza and directed by Bahraini Hussein Al-Halibi, which is expected to be released in the coming days on one of the digital platforms.
Kai was keen to promote the work by posting a picture of one of its promotional posters, which included information about one of its characters, through the "story" feature on her Instagram account, without revealing any other details related to its plot or features.
The series belongs to the genre of short dramatic works; it consists of 10 episodes and stars Khalid Al-Farraj, Saeed Al-Qahtani, Naif Al-Fawaz, Reem Safiya, Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Dhafir Al-Shahri, and others.
Aisha Kai achieved great success in the series "Al-Ash'aa Street" aired last Ramadan, and viewers praised her realistic portrayal of the character "Um Ibrahim" and her mastery of the Saudi Bedouin dialect, especially since she spends most of her time in Vancouver, Canada.
Kai is a Saudi-Canadian actress and writer who holds a master's degree in writing and has participated in many leading and supporting roles in series and short films, but her most notable role was in the Canadian film "The Jasmine Road," which was released in 2020, where she was nominated for three awards.
Among the prominent works she excelled in is the film "Memory of the North," which highlighted the Gulf War crisis, narrating memories of the war and its effects within Saudi Arabia from different perspectives.
Last year, in 2024, Aisha won the "Best Actress" award in the short films category from the Canadian organization Reelworld Screen Institute for her role in the film Hatch.
