Public education schools for boys and girls in cities and provinces with high population density suffer from traffic congestion during school hours.

The issue continues to recur every year, exacerbating the suffering of students, especially in elementary schools, despite the efforts made by traffic officers, particularly at large educational complexes. Parents told "Okaz" that the reason for the congestion is the lack of parking spaces and the failure of some drivers to adhere to proper parking, in addition to the narrowness of some streets surrounding these schools located within residential neighborhoods. Parents, including Mohammed Flatih, Hadi Al-Majroushi, and Naif Abdullah, suggested unifying traffic directions during the morning and afternoon periods only, by placing movable cones under the supervision of school guards, starting early, and allocating specially colored parking spaces for student transport buses to reduce congestion, as well as broadcasting awareness messages to parents about the necessity of adhering to traffic regulations and avoiding double parking and violations.
