يأتي تجاوب الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب مع الوساطة السعودية ومنح المفاوضات فرصة للتوصل إلى حلول تُنهي الحرب بعد أن كان مقرراً -وفق الرئيس الأمريكي- إعادة الحرب على إيران ليؤكد المكانة التي تحظى بها السعودية لدى الإدارة الأمريكية، وثقتها بحكمة وحنكة القيادة السعودية ونظرتها للأحداث في المنطقة وكيف يجب أن تُدار وكيف تُجري المفاوضات بما يُسهم في الوصول إلى اتفاق يُنهي الأزمة ويُحقق مصالح جميع الأطراف، من خلال سلام واستقرار يقود إلى منطقة خالية من اليورانيوم المخصّب، والصواريخ الباليستية، والأذرع الإرهابية، التي ثبت أنها شوكة في خاصرة التنمية والازدهار وما فيه مصلحة الشعوب.
ولم تكتفِ السعودية بالضغط على أمريكا لإلغاء الضربة العسكرية التي كانت ستوجّه لإيران، وإنما دعت طهران في المقابل إلى اغتنام الفرصة لتجنّب التصعيد والتجاوب مع جهود المفاوضات وصولاً لاتفاق شامل يجنِّب إيران الدمار الذي يُضاعف من معاناة الشعب الإيراني الذي عانى كثيراً من سياسات النظام الإيراني الذي يتمسَّك بقناعات لن تأخذ الدولة إلى مصافِّ الدول المزدهرة والمتقدمة اقتصادياً.
تبقى السعودية، بقيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، الدولة الحريصة على مصالح دول وشعوب المنطقة والعالم، والركيزة الأساسية لتحقيق السلام وبما ينعكس على إنهاء حالة الفوضى وتحقيق الأمن والأمان والاستقرار.
