عاشت جدة ليلة استثنائية من ليالي الوفاء احتفاء بمسيرة أديبها الراحل الدكتور سعيد السريحي تحت عنوان «التلويحة الأخيرة»، الفعالية التي أقيمت برعاية مبادرة «عبق الثقافة»، لم تكن مجرد استعادة للذكريات بل شهدت انطلاقة جديدة لإرثه الثقافي عبر الإعلان عن «جائزة سعيد السريحي للدراسات الأدبية والنقدية»، لتكون منارة تربط جيل الشباب بمدرسة السريحي التي لا تعرف القيود.
ندوة الوفاء.. شهادات من القلب والذاكرة
وعلى هامش الاحتفالية أقيمت ندوة ثقافية ثرية أدارها رفيق درب الراحل، الكاتب والشاعر والإعلامي هاشم الجحدلي الذي أكد أن الحديث عن السريحي يطول فهو معلم ورئيس وقامة تجاوزت المحلية لتصبح رمزاً عربياً كبيراً، مشدداً على أن هذه «التلويحة» هي إعادة تذكير بأن أثره باق في وجدان كل المهتمين بالشأن الثقافي.
واستعادت الدكتورة صلوح السريحي ملامح من طفولة أخيها سعيد، مؤكدة على مدى تأثير وجوده وغيابه على عالم العائلة. ووصفته بالأخ والمعلم والكريم والحكيم والإنسان الذي شكل غيابه فراغاً كبيراً في وجدان أسرته كما كان في وجدان الثقافة العربية.
أما رئيس مجلس إدارة جمعية الأدب الدكتور حسن النعمي، فقد استعرض أهم التقاطعات التي جمعته بالسريحي منذ دخوله الساحة الثقافية وحتى رحيله. وأشار النعمي إلى أن السريحي غادر عالمنا لكنه لم يودع ذاكرتنا أبداً، معتبراً أن مساندة السريحي في انطلاق مجلة «بيادر» الصادرة عن نادي أبها الأدبي كانت أهم ملامح دعمه اللامحدود لكل فعل ثقافي حقيقي.
صوت من القلب.. قصيدة تهز المشاعر
شهدت الأمسية لحظة عاطفية بالغة التأثير حين بثت قصيدة مسجلة لزوجة الراحل الشاعرة عائشة النويمي عبرت فيها عن صدق إحساسها وفقدها لرفيق العمر. وشاركت بصوتها في تسجيل لامس شغاف القلوب بعفويته وصدقه وجسد تلك العلاقة الاستثنائية التي جمعت الزوجين لسنوات طويلة. وفور صمت الصوت ضجت القاعة بتصفيق حاد وطويل امتزج بدموع الحاضرين الذين استشعروا عمق الوفاء في كلمات شريكة الدرب.
جائزة السريحي.. استمرار لمسيرة النقد
جاء الإعلان عن الجائزة ليتوج مسيرة السريحي الحافلة بالعطاء حيث تهدف إلى تحفيز الحراك النقدي العربي ودعم الباحثين لتقديم دراسات تتسم بالعمق والجرأة. ويرى المثقفون في هذه الجائزة امتداداً حقيقياً لمنهج السريحي الذي أفنى حياته في قراءة النص وكشف المسكوت عنه متمسكاً برأيه الذي يكتبه دائماً «خارج الأقواس».
من الرويس إلى فضاءات الحداثة
استعرض المشاركون في الليلة محطات من حياة السريحي التي انطلقت من بين أزقة حي الرويس بجدة؛ ذلك الطفل الذي كان يشتري الكتب بمصروفه الأسبوعي ليصبح واحداً من أهم نقاد العالم العربي وسادناً للثقافة في صحيفة «عكاظ» لأكثر من 28 عاماً وداعماً أول للمبدعين الشباب عبر زاويته الشهيرة «ولكم الرأي».
انتهت الليلة ليبقى صدى الكلمات حياً مؤكداً أن السريحي لم يغادرنا، بل ترجل ليرتاح تاركاً خلفه جائزة تحمل اسمه وقصيدة وفاء وشهادات رفاق درب ستبقى محفورة في ذاكرة الثقافة السعودية.

The event, held under the auspices of the "Cultural Fragrance" initiative, was not just a revival of memories but witnessed a new launch of his cultural legacy through the announcement of the "Said Al-Surayhi Prize for Literary and Critical Studies," to be a beacon connecting the youth with the Surayhi school that knows no bounds.
The Loyalty Symposium.. Testimonies from the Heart and Memory
On the sidelines of the celebration, a rich cultural symposium was held, moderated by the late writer's companion, writer, poet, and media figure Hashim Al-Jahdali, who emphasized that talking about Al-Surayhi is lengthy as he was a teacher, a leader, and a figure that transcended local boundaries to become a great Arab symbol, stressing that this "wave" is a reminder that his impact remains in the hearts of all those interested in cultural affairs.
Dr. Salouh Al-Surayhi recalled aspects of her brother Said's childhood, emphasizing the extent of his presence and absence's impact on the family world. She described him as a brother, a teacher, a generous and wise man, and a human being whose absence created a significant void in the hearts of his family, just as it did in the realm of Arab culture.
As for the Chairman of the Board of the Literature Association, Dr. Hassan Al-Naami, he reviewed the most important intersections that brought him together with Al-Surayhi from the moment he entered the cultural arena until his departure. Al-Naami pointed out that Al-Surayhi left our world but never said goodbye to our memory, considering that supporting Al-Surayhi in the launch of the "Bayader" magazine issued by the Abha Literary Club was one of the most significant aspects of his unlimited support for every genuine cultural act.
A Voice from the Heart.. A Poem that Shakes Emotions
The evening witnessed a profoundly emotional moment when a recorded poem by the late poet's wife, Aisha Al-Nuaymi, was broadcast, expressing her genuine feelings and loss of her lifelong companion. She participated with her voice in a recording that touched the hearts with its spontaneity and sincerity, embodying the exceptional relationship that united the couple for many years. As soon as the voice fell silent, the hall erupted with loud and prolonged applause mixed with the tears of attendees who felt the depth of loyalty in the words of the partner of the journey.
The Al-Surayhi Prize.. Continuation of the Critical Journey
The announcement of the prize crowned Al-Surayhi's rich journey of giving, aiming to stimulate Arab critical movement and support researchers to present studies characterized by depth and boldness. Intellectuals see this prize as a true extension of Al-Surayhi's approach, who devoted his life to reading texts and revealing the unspoken, adhering to his opinion that he always writes "outside the brackets."
From Al-Ruwais to the Horizons of Modernity
The participants in the night reviewed milestones from Al-Surayhi's life that began among the alleys of the Al-Ruwais neighborhood in Jeddah; that child who used to buy books with his weekly allowance to become one of the most important critics in the Arab world and a steward of culture in the "Okaz" newspaper for more than 28 years, and the primary supporter of young creators through his famous column "And You Have the Opinion."
The night ended, leaving the echo of words alive, affirming that Al-Surayhi did not leave us; rather, he dismounted to rest, leaving behind a prize bearing his name, a poem of loyalty, and testimonies from companions of the journey that will remain etched in the memory of Saudi culture.
