أعلنت هيئة التراث، اليوم (الأحد)، تسجيل 1,516 موقعاً جديداً في السجل الوطني للآثار، وذلك ضمن جهود صون المواقع الأثرية وتوثيقها، ليصبح إجمالي عدد المواقع المسجلة 11,577 موقعاً.
وشملت المواقع المسجلة مناطق متفرقة من المملكة أبرزها: منطقة الرياض بـ1,174 موقعاً ليبلغ إجمالي المواقع المسجلة في المنطقة 3,079 موقعاً. فيما تم تسجيل 3 مواقع جديدة في منطقة مكة المكرمة ليصبح إجمالي المواقع في المنطقة 750 موقعاً.
وتم تسجيل 85 موقعاً جديداً في منطقة تبوك ليبلغ الإجمالي 1,161 موقعاً.
وفي منطقة الحدود الشمالية تم تسجيل 70 موقعاً جديداً ليصل الإجمالي إلى 359 موقعاً.
كما تم تسجيل 184 موقعاً أثرياً جديداً في منطقة الباحة ليصل إجمالي المواقع في المنطقة 313 موقعاً.
ويستند هذا التسجيل إلى نظام الآثار والتراث العمراني الصادر بالمرسوم الملكي بتاريخ 9 /1/ 1436، وقرار مجلس إدارة هيئة التراث الذي منح الرئيس التنفيذي صلاحية تسجيل المواقع الأثرية والتراثية، بما يعزز توثيق هذه المواقع وحمايتها بما يتناسب مع قيمتها التاريخية والثقافية.
وأكدت الهيئة أن هذا التسجيل؛ يهدف إلى توسيع قاعدة المواقع الأثرية والمحافظة عليها، وتطويرها، بشكلِ يضمن استدامتها للأجيال القادمة، بما يسهم في تعزيز الهوية الوطنية وإبراز أهمية التراث الثقافي في حياة المجتمع.
ودعت هيئة التراث المواطنين والمقيمين للإبلاغ عن المواقع الأثرية غير المسجلة، عبر خدمة «بلاغ أثري» وحساباتها الرسمية على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي وفروعها في مختلف مناطق المملكة، في إطار تعزيز الشراكة المجتمعية، التي تعد ركيزة أساسية في حماية التراث الوطني وتطويره.
The Heritage Authority announced today (Sunday) the registration of 1,516 new sites in the national archaeological register, as part of efforts to preserve and document archaeological sites, bringing the total number of registered sites to 11,577.
The registered sites included various regions of the Kingdom, most notably: the Riyadh region with 1,174 sites, bringing the total number of registered sites in the region to 3,079. Meanwhile, 3 new sites were registered in the Makkah region, increasing the total number of sites in the region to 750.
Additionally, 85 new sites were registered in the Tabuk region, bringing the total to 1,161 sites.
In the Northern Borders region, 70 new sites were registered, raising the total to 359 sites.
Furthermore, 184 new archaeological sites were registered in the Al-Baha region, bringing the total number of sites in the region to 313.
This registration is based on the system of archaeology and urban heritage issued by the royal decree dated 9/1/1436, and the decision of the Board of Directors of the Heritage Authority, which granted the CEO the authority to register archaeological and heritage sites, enhancing the documentation and protection of these sites in accordance with their historical and cultural value.
The Authority confirmed that this registration aims to expand the base of archaeological sites, preserve and develop them in a way that ensures their sustainability for future generations, contributing to the enhancement of national identity and highlighting the importance of cultural heritage in the life of the community.
The Heritage Authority called on citizens and residents to report unregistered archaeological sites through the "Archaeological Report" service and its official accounts on social media and its branches in various regions of the Kingdom, as part of enhancing community partnership, which is a fundamental pillar in protecting and developing national heritage.
