في موقف يؤكد عمق العلاقات الأخوية والصداقة القوية، بادر الدكتور حسن النعمي بالتنازل لزميله الدكتور سعيد السريحي برئاسة جمعية الأدب، بعد إعلان نتائج الانتخابات التي أظهرت تعادلهما بـ 59 صوتاً لكل منهما.
وكان أكثر من ثمانين شخصاً قد اجتمعوا لاختيار 9 أعضاء من بين سبعة عشر مرشحاً، وظهرت النتائج متقاربة بين عدد من المرشحين والاحتياط.
وقال الدكتور سعيد السريحي عبر حسابه على منصة إكس: «ذاك موقف نبيل من أخي وصديقي الدكتور حسن النعمي لا أجد من الكلمات ما يفي بحق شكري له»، ليرد عليه الدكتور النعمي: «كبير في كل حالاتك دكتور سعيد، ورمز من رموز الأدب في الوطن العربي».
وحظي موقف الدكتور النعمي تجاه زميله الدكتور السريحي بإعجاب عدد من المنتمين للوسط الثقافي والمتابعين للحراك الأدبي، الذين باركوا للسريحي رئاسة الجمعية، متمنين له التوفيق والنجاح.
In a situation that confirms the depth of brotherly relations and strong friendship, Dr. Hassan Al-Naimi took the initiative to concede the presidency of the Literature Association to his colleague Dr. Said Al-Surayhi, after the election results showed a tie between them with 59 votes each.
More than eighty people gathered to choose 9 members from among seventeen candidates, and the results were close among several candidates and alternates.
Dr. Said Al-Surayhi said via his account on the X platform: "That is a noble stance from my brother and friend Dr. Hassan Al-Naimi; I find no words that can adequately express my gratitude to him," to which Dr. Al-Naimi responded: "You are great in all your circumstances, Dr. Said, and a symbol of literature in the Arab world."
Dr. Al-Naimi's stance towards his colleague Dr. Al-Surayhi was admired by several members of the cultural community and followers of the literary movement, who congratulated Al-Surayhi on his presidency of the association, wishing him success and prosperity.
