أعلن نقيب الفنانين العراقيين رئيس مهرجان بغداد السينمائي الدكتور جبار جودي مشاركة 67 فيلماً عراقياً وعربياً مختارة من أصل 423 تقدمت، موزعة على مسابقات الروائي الطويل والقصير، الوثائقي الطويل والقصير، وأفلام الأنيميشن.
كلمة رئيس المهرجان
وقال الدكتور جبار جودي، في بيان صحفي، إن المسابقة الرسمية للأفلام الروائية الطويلة تضم 15 فيلماً، من بينها خمسة أفلام من العراق، هي «أناشيد آدم»، «ندم»، «إبن آشور»، «القناني المسحورة»، «جريرة».
كما تشارك تونس ضيفَ شرّف بالمسابقة بفيلمين طويلين، هما «برج الرومي»، و«عصفور جنة»، بينما تشارك مصر بفيلم واحد هو فيلم «ضي» للمخرج كريم الشناوي، وسورية بفيلم «سلمى» للمخرج جود سعيد، والمغرب بفيلم «وحده الحب» للمخرج كمال كمال، وفيلم «كواليس» للمخرجين خليل بن كيران وعفاف بن محمود.
وأضاف الدكتور جبار جودي في بيانٍ له: تشارك لبنان بالمسابقة أيضاً بفيلم «أرزة»، وفلسطين بفيلمي «من المسافة صفر» «شكرًا لأنك تحلم معنا»، في حين ستشارك السعودية بفيلم «هوبال» للمخرج عبدالعزيز الشلاحي.
أفلام افتتاح مهرجان بغداد
وأكد «جودي»، أن المهرجان سيفتتح بالفيلم العراقي الروائي الطويل المرمم «سعيد أفندي»، للمخرج كاميران حسني، ويُعرض بالافتتاح أيضاً الفيلم التونسي «صمت القصور» احتفاءً بالسينما التونسية باعتبارها ضيفَ شرف المهرجان.

ومن جانبه، أضاف مدير المهرجان الدكتور حكمت البيضاني، أن الدورة الثانية ستشهد منافسة بارزة في الأفلام الروائية القصيرة بمشاركة 24 فيلماً من دول عربية عدة، بينها العراق «رحاب، أبيض كالأحمر، الكمان، خراب الدورة الدموية، سحر، ماراثون»، والأردن «ترويدة»، الإمارات «دعاء آمل»، البحرين «المعقد»، الجزائر «موعد»، السعودية «حوض»، السودان «دعاء العشاء»، المغرب «مرآة للبيع»، سورية «على الحافة»، سلطنة عمان «المجهول»، قطر «ارحل لتبقى الذكرى»، مصر «كان نفسي، الوريث»، وتونس «عالحافة، ليني افريكو، رحلة، يوم كيراتين».
مسابقك الأفلام الوثائقية الطويلة
وأوضح أن المهرجان يشهد منافسة في الأفلام الوثائقية الطويلة بمشاركة 5 أفلام هي: «من أبدول إلى ليلى»، «حكايات الأرض الجريحة»، «مثل قصص الحب»، «السودان يا غالي»، «السنعوسي».
مسابقة الأفلام الوثائقية القصيرة
كما تتنافس 13 فيلماً وثائقياً قصيراً من دول عدة، منها العراق «حنين، مرآة السماء، تحت، إبراهيم»، الجزائر «المُبلّغ»، السعودية «هدهدة»، المغرب «فريق»، اليمن «لن أغادرها»، سورية «سينما الدنيا»، سلطنة عمان «الأراضي الرطبة»، لبنان «صوب الضو»، ومصر «أطفال ولكن، نوبة كاتو».
مسابقة أفلام الأنيميشن
أما في مسابقة أفلام الأنيميشن فتشارك 10 أفلام، منها العراقية «بطارية، بامار، نابو، النزيل، حدث في الحمام»، إلى جانب أطفال البرزخ «الإمارات»، أوليفيا «الجزائر»، الزجاجة الأخيرة «سورية»، سكربت «مصر»، وعدالة الحياة «الأردن».
The head of the Iraqi Artists' Syndicate and the president of the Baghdad International Film Festival, Dr. Jabbar Judy, announced the participation of 67 selected Iraqi and Arab films out of a total of 423 submitted, distributed across the competitions for feature-length and short films, long and short documentaries, and animation films.
Message from the Festival President
Dr. Jabbar Judy stated in a press release that the official competition for feature-length films includes 15 films, among which five are from Iraq: "Anashid Adam," "Nadam," "Ibn Ashur," "The Enchanted Bottles," and "Jarira."
Tunisia is also participating as a guest of honor in the competition with two feature films: "Burj Al-Rumi" and "Asfour Janna," while Egypt is represented by one film, "Dhi," directed by Karim El Shenawy, Syria by the film "Salma," directed by Jud Said, Morocco by "Only Love," directed by Kamal Kamal, and "Kawaliss," directed by Khalil Ben Kiran and Afaf Ben Mahmoud.
Dr. Jabbar Judy added in his statement: Lebanon is also participating in the competition with the film "Arza," and Palestine with two films: "From Zero Distance" and "Thank You for Dreaming with Us," while Saudi Arabia will participate with the film "Hubal," directed by Abdulaziz Al-Shalahi.
Opening Films of the Baghdad Festival
Judy confirmed that the festival will open with the restored Iraqi feature film "Saeed Effendi," directed by Kamiran Hosni, and the Tunisian film "Silence of the Palaces" will also be screened at the opening in celebration of Tunisian cinema as the guest of honor of the festival.
Message from the Festival Director
For his part, the festival director, Dr. Hikmat Al-Baydani, added that the second edition will witness a prominent competition in short feature films with the participation of 24 films from several Arab countries, including Iraq with "Rehab, White as Red, The Violin, Blood Circulation Ruins, Magic, Marathon," Jordan with "Trowida," the UAE with "Dua Amal," Bahrain with "The Complicated," Algeria with "Appointment," Saudi Arabia with "Pool," Sudan with "Dua Al-Isha," Morocco with "Mirror for Sale," Syria with "On the Edge," Oman with "The Unknown," Qatar with "Leave to Keep the Memory," Egypt with "I Wish, The Heir," and Tunisia with "On the Edge, Leni Africo, Journey, Day of Keratin."
Long Documentary Films Competition
He explained that the festival will feature a competition in long documentary films with the participation of 5 films: "From Abdul to Leila," "Tales of the Wounded Land," "Like Love Stories," "Sudan, Oh Precious," and "Al-Sanousi."
Short Documentary Films Competition
Thirteen short documentary films from several countries are also competing, including Iraq with "Nostalgia, Mirror of the Sky, Under, Ibrahim," Algeria with "The Informant," Saudi Arabia with "Hedhda," Morocco with "Team," Yemen with "I Will Not Leave It," Syria with "Cinema of the World," Oman with "Wetlands," Lebanon with "Towards the Light," and Egypt with "Children But, Catou's Attack."
Animation Films Competition
In the animation films competition, 10 films are participating, including Iraqi films "Battery, Bamar, Nabu, The Inmate, An Incident in the Bathroom," along with "Children of the Isthmus" from the UAE, "Olivia" from Algeria, "The Last Bottle" from Syria, "Script" from Egypt, and "Justice of Life" from Jordan.
