أفادت المفوضية السامية لشؤون اللاجئين التابعة للأمم المتحدة اليوم (الثلاثاء) بأن ما يصل إلى 250 ألف لاجئ سوري يمكنهم العودة إلى وطنهم خلال عام 2019.

وأضافت أن الكثير من اللاجئين السوريين يواجهون مشكلات في الوثائق والملكية يتعين على الحكومة السورية المساهمة في حلها.


وقال أمين عوض مدير إدارة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا في المفوضية في إفادة صحفية إن نحو 5.6 مليون لاجئ سوري ما زالوا في بلدان مجاورة تشمل تركيا ولبنان والأردن ومصر والعراق.

وكشفت بيانات المفوضية أن نحو 37 ألف سوري عادوا إلى بلادهم في العام الحالي.

وقال عوض «نتوقع في هذه المرحلة عودة ما يصل إلى 250 ألف سوري خلال 2019. هذا الرقم قابل للزيادة أو النقصان وفقا للوتيرة التي نعمل بها ونزيل العقبات التي تعرقل عودتهم».
