BEIJING- Most global stock markets rebounded Tuesday, as Germany's DAX rose 0.7 percent to 12,441.97 and France's CAC 40 gained 0.4 percent to 5,432.48.

London's FTSE 100 added 0.2 percent to 7,662.81. On Monday, the DAX fell 0.5 percent, the FTSE 100 shed 0.3 percent and the CAC 40 lost under 0.1 percent.

On Wall Street, futures for the Standard & Poor's 500 index and Dow Jones industrial average were up 0.4 percent.



The Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.2 percent to 2,780.96 while Tokyo's Nikkei 225 added 2.3 percent to 22,356.08. Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined 0.7 percent to 27,752.93 and Seoul's Kospi advanced 0.5 percent to 2,258.91. Sydney's S&P-ASX 200 advanced 0.8 percent to 6,299.60 and India's Sensex added 0.6 percent to 33,751.22. Benchmarks in New Zealand and Southeast Asia also advanced.



Benchmark U.S. crude gained 56 cents to $67.66 per barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract closed at $67.20 on Monday.

Brent crude, used to price international oils, added 55 cents to $73.16 per barrel in London. It closed the previous session at $72.61.



The dollar gained to 111.08 yen from Monday's 110.73 yen. The euro declined to $1.1408 from $1.1411.
