The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has affirmed its support for all matters that achieve justice as stipulated in its domestic legislations and regulations, the international conventions signed by it and the international norms in force, noting the validity and correct objective of the principle of combating impunity, stressing that it is still too early to adopt and approve this principle because judicial proceedings to apply this principle still lack clarity in appropriate standards, rules and mechanisms to determine the type of crimes intended to apply justice against their perpetrators through this principle.

This came in the Kingdom's speech yesterday at a session on the topic of the principle of universal jurisdiction and its applications within the work of the Legal Committee at the United Nations delivered by the head of the Kingdom's delegation participating in the meeting from the Ministry of Justice Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Nasser.
