The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Supreme Commander of Armed Forces, received at the Royal Court at Mina Palace here today princes, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, scholars, sheikhs, senior officials of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States, ministers, commanders of military sectors participating in this year’s Hajj, and the leaders of the scouts in the Kingdom participating in Hajj, who came to greet and congratulate the King on the blessed Eid Al-Adha.

The reception ceremony started with verses from the Holy Quran.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud delivered the following speech on this occasion:

In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the most Gracious,

Praise be to Allah, and peace be upon Prophet Muhammad, his family and companions,

Dear brothers of personnel of military sectors,

Dear audience,

Dear citizens,

May Allah's peace, mercy and blessings be upon you.

I congratulate you and the pilgrims of the Grand Holy Mosque on the blessed Eid Al-Adha, praying to Allah to accept the good deeds and return the Eid to the Islamic nation with goodness and blessings.

Your continuous blessed efforts to serve the pilgrims of the Grand Holy Mosque, spend sleepless nights for their rest, facilitate their movement, and maintain their safety, are the source of our pride and an embodiment of what Allah honored our country with the service of pilgrims and visitors of the Grand Holy Mosque. We will continue to provide what pilgrims need of security, tranquility and comfort, and this is the approach of this country from which it will not deviate, praying to Allah Almighty to help us.

Dear brothers,

The great sacrifices, the honored works and heroism that you carry out to protect the security of our country and defend its sanctities and capabilities reflect your faith, patriotism and nobility. Our country will never hesitate to protect its security, maintain its stability and safeguard its interests.

Dear brothers:

We recall today our martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for their religion and homeland; their sacrifices will not be absent and heroisms will not be forgotten, praying to Allah Almighty to bestow mercy upon their souls and the high status in paradise, and a speedy recovery for the injured. We also pray to Allah Almighty to make his religion victorious, uphold his word, protect our country and Islamic countries from any harm, and perpetuate security and stability for all.

I affirm that the title of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is an honor for the leaders of this country since the era of late King Abdulaziz (May Allah bestow mercy upon his soul) until today.

May Allah's peace, mercy and blessings be upon you.

Then, General Saeed bin Abdullah Al-Gahtani, Assistant Interior Minister for Operations, who is supervising the public security, delivered a speech on behalf of officers taking part in Hajj during which he congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on the advent of Eid Al-Adh-ha, noting the honor bestowed on this country to serve the guests of God and enable it provide all means of comfort and ease to pilgrims, including the establishment of giant developmental and service projects in the two holy mosques premises and other sacred sites.

He confirmed that the ministry of interior has strictly followed the instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to provide the best services to pilgrims, preserve their security and safety, facilitate their performance of rituals since their arrival, and during all phases of movement or stay until their final departure back home as safe and secure as they have first landed in this holy place according to a comprehensive working plans system designed and implemented by the personnel of the Hajj Security Forces and their colleagues in all military sectors as well as government and private bodies.

Addressing the monarch, Al-Gahtani said pilgrims enjoy your Royal care and interest as well as that of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of Hajj Supreme Committee; Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region who is also Chairman of Hajj Central Committee; and Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Region, and Chairman of Madinah-based Hajj Committee.

Al-Gahrani wished the monarch and his crown prince long live and continuous happiness and health and the Kingdom steady progress, stability and prosperity.

Then, Col. Mishaal Al-Harthi delivered a poem to mark the occasion.
