Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources explained that what has been widely circulated and discussed, on social networking outlets, over the alleged statement of the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, during a press conference held on 20 December of the last year and was dedicated to the impact of expansionary spending, in the proposed budget of 2018, that there will not be any correction of energy prices, in 2018, is totally incorrect.
The Ministry said in a press statement that Eng. Al-Falih's speech was about no change for energy prices relating to the industrial sector, only, in order to reduce the burden on populace, during the period that industries may stand in need to take necessary measures to rationalize their energy consumption, a matter which has already been effected.
The statement concluded, pointing out that the video clip to reckon with, is that which depicts the minister commenting on the subject, which is at avail on the official website of the ministry or on the account of Saudi Press Agency "SPA", on the mini-blogging platform: Twitter.
